The Atlas Mountains are a series of mountain ranges extending for almost 2,000 kilometres across north Africa, passing through Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. The jagged, sky-piercing High Atlas in Morocco are perhaps the most well-known, especially in the trekking community.
