Roaster description

Behind the beans: We first tasted coffee from Fahri & Sabyli, Argopuro Krucil at the first Cup of Excellence (CoE) Indonesia 2021. It was a blind cup & we remember vividly that it was interesting with notes of White Flower, White Berries, & Green Melon undertones. That lot placed on 10th with score of 88.15. They are a relatively new farm founded in 2018, but shows an exciting future ahead.

Cobra is a hybrid cultivar between Colombia x Brazil that was developed in Indonesia for productivity. It has Rounded Body with Clean Aftertaste. For us the Weight reminds us of Colombian & potential of Brazillian Catuai. With some fermentation, Catuai can be enhanced to give Fruity profile without intense Fermentation notes. Just like this lot.

Ripe Cobra cherries are fermented in Plastic Bags then slowly dried for 28 days on raised bed. Fermented condition is kept under cool temperature to prevent Cacao Nibs to be highlighted at high temperature. This ensure the coffee to be Sweet & Aromatic.

Due to Anaerobic Natural processing, this lot shows more nuance of Red Fruits that we love. You can find Red Apple & Currants with Sweet Dried Fruits like Prunes & Raisins. Pleasant Sweetness & Round Mouthfeel along with Mild Acidity makes this coffee very comfortable to be enjoyed every day.
